Minions

the state of minions are kind of terrible. not only is it extremely frustrating to fight bosses. it does 1 aoe attack all ur minions are dead. then they get revived and immediately just all dead again. makes them do no damage then you just have to sit there dealing no damage. plus this system of only using 1 support gem per skill means only one type of minion will most likely be decent. then we have like 3 pieces of gear to scale our minions damage. mean while every other build has every single piece scaling their damage, not to mention base damage from weapons it self. all we have is literally skill levels that doesnt even scale the damage well enough. you get one scepter with + 1 minions and barely change that scepter through the whole campaign. i kind of enjoyed playing frost skeletal minions, but the range of them is so low that they just sit in doorways body blocking each with half the minions not even attacking. so then they just all die in maps at doorways. i preferred the cast system on poe 1 then this revive system. at least my minions were always doing damage and where i wanted to them to be.

Not a single gaming company has been able to do pets right. GGG will not be the first, they arent competent or caring enough
I like the minions in Grim Dawn.

I completed all the game's content with minions.
Sure my minions died to aoe on bosses (chimera, bone boss and arbiter). But it didn't stop me killing the boss. If someone who has to stand still to do damage is running around, they aren't doing damage. So it's the same thing.
I'm not a fan of the one support system. It does force you to choose and solves the POE1 issue of supports like WED being in every elemental dmg support list. But I think allowing 2 skills to have the same support wouldn't be too out of place.

The scaling for mobs being on sceptre, helm and amulet are not an issue when you can kill everything in the game with +9 from those. Some spectres also scale damage from weapon, so Vaal Guards for example benefit from Allies deal #% to #% fire damage on your sceptre, giving you another choice for a mod slot which generally has 2-3 useless spots.

Range for mobs causing body blocking in tight spots does need a fix.
