Ping issues

Having an issue where I have consistent issues with ping.

Playing from New Zealand and having some issues that seem to be routing issues. There are times if I reset a zone a couple of times it put me on the actual Australian server and I'm on 25 ping but the majority of the time if I go into a new zone during campaign or into a map I'm sitting on 170 ping.

Sometimes its stable on the 170 but sometimes my ping spikes from 170 to 450 and I rubber band/teleport back to my location from 5 seconds ago and usually causes me to die.

Wondering if anyone knows anything I could try to fix this before I contact my ISP and see if its on their end.

I also brought a new PC about 8 months ago and I don't have any issues with any other game or general browser use etc.

If your chosen data centre is at capacity, GGG will move you over to an alternative one. This isn’t something your ISP is able to do anything about.

I don't think its a data centre being at full capacity was just playing with a friend in Pohx's private league both on Australian servers and he was fine but I was still getting the higher ping.

Is the results I got from running it.

Are you solo or in a group?

If in a group are playing with someone from outside NZ/AU?

You mentioned the game will move you to AU server where the ping comes down to 25, what server are you on prior to this happening?

170 Ping makes me think your are trying to play on US server, which is reasonable but spikes can and will happen for multiple reasons.

If your routing is being taken off your ISPs network to an offshore server there's not actually anything your ISP can do, once routing leaves NZ/ISPs network its outside of our control to manage routing from that point. (There are some exceptions to this)

Still having this issue havent really been able to play consistently until the past couple of days to test.

at the start of the league NZ servers worked fine for me but still had ping jumping issues when connecting to AU servers however its gotten worse and now even when connected to NZ servers sometimes I till bounce between 25ping and 6000 and becomes unplayable.

I have noticed if I ping au.login.pathofexile.com it is fine it comes back everytime with 57 ping but if I go into the files and get the login server IP address from the log files (135.90.96.134) it pings at 165ms.

I have spoken to my ISP and they have definitely said there's nothing wrong on their end just wondering if anyone knows a fix cause its basically become unplayable.
