not having minion splash is choking out a lot of builds and ending the possibility of choosing many specters types, this is opposite to POE. and doesn't really serve any purpose, but making the game worse.
travel distance on the atlas tree from 1 class starting zone to another is just 1 too far, most builds that are very good (with the exception of gemling) remain fairly local and do not travel very much, so all this is doing is reducing the amount of mediocre builds in the game, which is bad, because we want players trying out many build types and having good enough results. 1 button builds are rocking multi button builds which is just trash, lit spear, spark ect vs minions, minions are taking way to many skill gems, and require wayy too many things remaining up to be good, like offerings, me being nearby and and and. minions need a 100% overhaul and a very serious looking at, as a large portion of the player base and many ascendancies involve them. if a move type is not viable for racing, (which is the current poe goal race to 100) feel free to disable it, until the time is spent to bring the skill gem up to snuff. being content with a game of 50k concurrent players when some games have 13+ million, is short sighted, you gotta reach for the stars, poe 2 is about 1 step away from that. overflow at 100% is just absurdly imbalanced, some builds which capitalize on it, receive 2x value while any builds that do not (which is most builds) receives 1x. .. . .. . .that's really strong, and makes single buttons builds simply superior to multi-button builds. [cap overflow at 20% make it unspendable] if you don't balence the game you will have 50k concurrent users, make poe 2 poe 1... and you can expect the same results. having jewels between some travel paths but not others takes away from certain travel paths gasmeplay, [possibly cap jewel number or just make them weaker] and do the same with move speed, having 100% ms is cool in a kids game, but if you want to move poe 2 (which is not poe 1) into a competitive environment it takes balance and mastery. all mastery takes is every waking second.. of every hour of the rest of your life. -75% to curse effect on maps is just to much ---> 30% so the entire dynamic of me the player finding a spirit gem 19, at level 72 that requries lvl 84 is just totally flawed, once a player hits maps, skill should determine overall gear earned. having reaching level 100 being the games current goal is just flawed, incorrect and short-sighted, (this is a poe 1 50k player theology) a more popular better game design is having players spend a few weeks to it 100 which is the real endgame, most games insert raids here and multiplayer which is a platform that generates about 5-10 times the revenue and a much larger sum of players, and is a better game, period. if you want poe 1, (50k concurrent players then make poe 1) but if you want a multi million player base, then there will have to be changes made. it is very difficult telling what passives effect what, for example my scepter and aura effect, does that work? what aspects does it work on? and this is the case for many aspects of the game as a whole, for example does area effect apply to presence? these ALL have to be very easily and properly tagged so that players can 100% tell YES this is working b4 teching it, this will fix players, leveling to 30-40 to find out their build doesnt work (which is losing you more players then you probably know). we are making a masterpiece here, not lemony snickets. instant potions (i hit x key 5 times and am instantly healed) are stupid. remove them. the whole please god let me cap my resistances is lame, luck should not have to do with me dying or living, it should be skill. simply put as a gaming studio to have 50-250k players but, when there are games with 13 million players saying, we are settling for 50k is not acceptable, nor is saying our game cant have 10 million players, that is just incorrect. i think i found another thing i might be very good at :) i was doing asset management, but man this is way more fun. more to come.
