Azmeri Whisps are Cool, But Their Pathing Interrupts Map Flow
Azmeri Whisps are a cool mechanic, especially the sacred variants, but their behavior while mapping needs improvement. When you're blasting through maps, the location where spirits spawn is often awkward, and their pathing to the next rare mob is usually inefficient. Sometimes they backtrack through cleared areas, or even across most of the map. Other times, they lead you through other mechanics like Rituals or Expeditions, forcing even more backtracking after you're done with the whisp.
I tried fully investing in Azmeri Whisp atlas passives and tablets to chase the +10% spirit talisman, but the slow, inefficient whisp movement made the experience quite frustrating. I ended up refunding the points and mostly ignoring the mechanic now. Azmeri Whisps need adjustments to better match the map blasting flow — otherwise, they feel too disruptive to be worth interacting with. Last bumped on Apr 26, 2025, 12:52:15 PM
