The Crypt's layout is really basic and boring - why is it not like the Act 1 mausoleums?

Crypt feels like it is unfinished. It as a super basic layout, everything is at an angle, there is no varity in the environment.

Which is puzzling: why are you not using a similar layout as the mausoleums from Act 1 ?

The Praetor and Consort tombs are two small maps I really enjoy in Act 1, please bring them to maps.

I think OP was talking about aesthetics, no? I agree with them that the mausoleum had some of the best environments in the game and GGG would be mad not to reuse those assets in maps somehow, so long as it wasn’t contrived.

Crypt is basicly the BEST map in the game.

Crypt is quick and easy, it used to be mainly corridors in 0.1 but changed it to be more open in 0.2, I'm fine with both really.

rituals in crypt can be pain, also rifts dont give much monsters

Crypt is basically just hallways going in a circle with some stuff in the center.

The mausoleums are much more interesting, have a variety of rooms with coffins.

I disagree the layout is bad mausoleums layouts would be on par with Augury, most rooms have different exits it's not hard to backtrack.

Crypt has a worse layout: it's essentially a circle/square if you forgot something sometimes you have to go all the way round.

But yeah the layout is passable, but aesthetically it's dreadful, it looks like a student job when you compare to the visual density and variety of Creek, Seepage etc.

Trying to dismantle one of the only good map layouts. Nice. Real nice. Nice. Real nice. Real nice.
