Collissions are still terrible for a lot of monsters and bosses.

One of the most annoying things people are complaining a lot is that you get surrounded way to easily with no way of getting out. And even though this is just part of the problem it comes down that you basically get sucked into attacks and big monster groups like they are magnetic. Combine this with terrible collission boxes like those of Tor Gul and you have super annoying bosses I either want to skip or just oneshot them with a broken build. Not because they are difficult but because they are super unpredictable in terms if you die randomly to them and lose xp/your map again. Tor Gul and Queen of filth are one of the worst offenders when it comes to collision issues and some kind of magnetic attraction. But those are not the only ones. Their mechanics are rather simple but getting pushed and teleported around by them is super annoying and frustrating at times.
![]() One of the recent patch notes mentioned that you now should get pushed to the side instead of dragged with them. Which is true in some cases but not does nothing if you then get dragged back into the animations and sling shoted exactly into the impact area like in this short clip. Yes i misplayed but thats not the point of this clip. üIt still shows that I first got pushed to the left than somehow stuck to her back and finally got dragged into her slam area. The bigger the monsters/bosses get the worse the magnetic attraction gets. The games mechanics feel refined a lot of the time until you get to those things. I don't know the name of the huge worm mobs that got introduced in 0.2 but as soon as you have those in your maps the game starts to feel like its a tech demo from someone who developed his first game. Then there is stuff like rakes path finding combined with those collisions and you get very weird interactions a lot of the time. Target a mob inside a big group, rake and just watch how your character swirls around the whole screen gets hit by a lot of projectiles floating around and then land you right in the middle of a pack which the cages you in. Why can we not slightly push around small monsters with those abilities or roll? Last bumped on Apr 25, 2025, 12:07:56 AM

Ya some things did get better but your clip shows some outstanding issues.
Agree with torgul particularly as melee his arms are so annoying. |

" I wanted to add one for tor gul too but it seems i didn't record any of those fights. Collision issues affect melee builds the most since you can't dps if you are not close. It's annoying to always have to find a deadzone of bosses to circumvent the pushing and teleporting issues. |
