Not getting 8th ascendancy points

I did a trail of chaos at level 79, which said would give me ascendancy points. Get to the end and am clicking on the altar which says "Interact to gain ascendancy passive skill points".
I do not get my 7th and 8th point when clicking on it. I also did one previously, same level 79, when i had 4 ascendancy points. I figured since im doing the the 75+ it would give me all my points. It didnt. I was able to do the 8 points on my amazon but now on my bloodmage i cant. Last bumped on Apr 22, 2025, 7:29:35 PM

For 4th ascendancy you need to collect 3 fragments and defeat the Trialmaster.
Or 4-floor sekhemas lvl 75+ and Zarokh. |

oh man i ever wanted to kick the shit out fo the trialmaster because hes just this son of a prick, now in poe2 i finally get the chance to do so
