Can someone make this design make sense?
So there were a handful of builds that GGG deemed to strong. So rather than adding some sort of logrithmic gain to certain stats like crit damage or whatever, they have simply nerfed all damage and "Fun" mechanics across the board. And now EVERYTHING is terrible and unfun. How does this get them closer to having a balanced game? I am GENUINLY curious. And I'm kind of alarmed that this late into developement they have taken a state of the game that was ALMOST incredible, and turned the entire system on its head in the most detrimental way imagineable. Like it feels like they want a few dials so they can perfectly balance the game in a sweeping way... Is that good? Doesn't that must make the game simplistic and boring? All the joy of these games is THE NUANCE! Add some damn no drop uniques, make uniques powerful and fun. It's not friggin' rocket science! Are these guys getting huge kickbacks on trading in some indirect way. It's the only thing that makes any sense because it just feels these guys are intentionally lighting their own game on fire, or do they truly just have terrible taste in this genre?
