What's exactly the philosophy beind having so much RNG in crafting?

I understand RNG for loot drops, thats I think quite OK, even if LE is doing something interesting with it, I dont mind having complete RNG when it comes to what drops on the ground.

But.. .why on God's Earth do we have it for crafting?.

+1 worst crafting system I have ever experienced in a game, might as well be called Path of Risk it for a biscuit.

Just feels empty, pointless and stale and the actual crafting is reserved for those with 1000+ divines.
It can works when your low level, for mapping and end game? It's complete lottery. And only very few people win the lotto and sell those items, the rest? [Removed by Support]

Crafting should change.
