Advise about monk support gems build
Hey guys, sorry for interrupting but i need advice about my monk. From start i knew what I want- critical/glass canon/roly poly avatar of electricity (working title). I'm now on endgame- I'm happy with my build, but I have trouble with improving my skills. I started experimenting with suport gems 2-3 maps before Doryani and I think I "lost" something in this process. I still kill small ones with one hit and because of that It's hard for me to estimate the differences in effectiveness of my supports. Now I have problems with bosses because I noticed that I was getting smaller damage on them than before my "experiments". My entire build operates on the tempest flurry, storm wave, charged staff, herald of thunder and combat frenzy (Resonance) but i started using herald of ice because i tried to add some freeze to my attacks. Now I have problems with damage distribution in boss fights because it's hard to generate enough charges to kill them quickly-for my lvl of course. I just lost control over my supports. Now I'm using:
1. Charged staff (persistence/close combat/heft/momentum) 2. Siphoning strike (Ice bite/elemental focus)- good for shortening the distance with bosses 3. Herald of T (glaciaciation/longshot/cold infusion/conduction) 4. Herald of I (overcharge/magnified effect/innervate/lightning infusion) I wanted to use a build to exchange gems between them... 5. Tempest (rage/leverage/martial tempo/execute) 6. Storm wave (ambush/upheaval/electrocute/primal armament) Im on lvl 67 My gear: 1. Kitoko's Current Jewelled Gloves (for electrocution) 2. Atsak's Sight Veiled Mask (crit chance) but I'm trying to play with The Three Dragons 3. Everything else is mix for resistance and crit. Equipment isn't so important. As I mentioned the problem is mainly with supports...and my lack of experience in carefully analyzing what exactly a given support gem does to skill. Should i throw out Herald of Ice and concentrate on lightning? And what with boss fights? My build is probably total trash for now but I would really appreciate any good advice. I have a very similar but definitely different build that I've been playing and it's phenomenal. Imo your 1st issue is using that stupid dragon mask, toss that out and stick with the 1st one, crit chance is king. Next you NEED Painters Servant torn gloves, they spread your elemental damage around so it's much more likely to proc ailments and they add up to 30% MORE elemental damage, they are broken af or any build that wants to utilize multiple elements/heralds properly. and you can stick electrocution proc on herald of shock since it can't actually proc shock anyway. I also dont use infusion supports as the 50% less damage equals way less ailment procs. With those gloves I've been running herald frost/thunder/ash doing crit stormeave and everything just melts. Also hot take, charged staff sux. I use the gem that gives my storm wave crit against full life enemies and the gem that consumes charges to further boost crit. Shit crits every hit almost and only use tempest flurry to drop my bell, hand of chyula with hunters mark can further boost charge generation and does double damage to ES since its chaos damage. Ill get the build up eventually but im tinkering away still and I haven't played with cast on shock/freeze to proc the marks I have on hand of chyula, that should be magic. DM me for any specifics/ to ask any questions

If you're already using Kitoko you don't need to slot electrocute in your stormwave.
You're missing shock by doing so. |

that should go into herald of shock since it does a ton of lightning damage and cannot proc shock on its own. trust me those gloves are 10000% chafe if you build right
