I miss finding Cut Gems

I used to make my builds off RNG i dont use guides or forums. Thats where my out of the box builds come from (imo)

This might be an unpopular opinion but i feel like uncut gems should be rare like RARE AF so they bring a big joy into incorporating anything you want into your build.

You take this uncut gem to someone like RENLY or a gemcutter who has the ability to cut gem out of their list (based on level) like accessing Nessa/lilly roth maybe progressively cutting more when you do the quests and bring back the tools? Same person could level your gems for a material cost?

Uncuts would be so much more valuable/appreciated.


This will probably fall into the ether.

I don't find the current gem system that engaging or rewarding.

Uncut gems could be rarer, drop as blue/red/green/white and gain xp once cut to make them more interesting. Taking them to an artificer would also make it more engaging
