Nexuses of Corruption Pacing and Endgame Progression Need Tweaks

Hey all,

I’ve been grinding PoE 2’s endgame hard, leveling from 62 to 87, but the Nexuses of Corruption pacing is just not good to grind out.

I’ve only found 6 Nexuses in all that time, with huge stretches of repetitive map tiles. The Map is awesome but gets so cluttered as you expand, making it a chore to hunt for Nexuses. I love mowing down monsters, but the grind feels overwhelming without clear rewards.

Here’s what’s bugging me and some ideas to fix it:

1. Nexus Pacing Is Too Slow

Finding only 6 Nexuses in about 100 maps feel like pure RNG pain. It’s demotivating when you’re zooming through maps but rarely hit a Nexuses of Corruption.

Suggestions:

• Spawn multiple Nexuses across a set number of Way stones (e.g., one per 10-15 maps).

• Cluster Nexuses in corrupted zones so they’re less spread out.

• Add a Nexus tracker in the Atlas UI to highlight corrupted nodes.

2. Atlas Clutter Makes Hunting Tedious

The infinite Atlas is cool, but it gets messy fast. Scrolling through fog of war to spot red corruption icons is exhausting, especially with repetitive tiles.

Suggestions:

• Add a filter to highlight corrupted zones or Nexuses.

• Reduce map sprawl by focusing corruption in specific regions.

• Mix up tile sets or add more unique mods to keep maps fresh.

3. Endgame Progression Feels Stale

PoE 1’s Map tier grinds nailed progression—clearing lower-tier maps made you feel stronger and led to bosses like Sirus. PoE 2’s Nexus hunt feels aimless, with no clear endpoint. I miss that sense of building toward something big.

Suggestions:

• Reward Atlas points for completing corrupted maps, not just Nexuses.

• Add milestones (e.g., unlock a pinnacle boss after 10 Nexuses).

• Make higher-tier Nexuses more accessible to skip the slow T1-T15 grind.

PoE 2’s endgame is better than early builds, but it’s not as rewarding as PoE 1 yet. I want to love the grind, but the RNG and clutter are holding it back. What do you all think about Nexus pacing? GGG, any plans to tweak spawns or progression? Loving the game overall, keep it up!

well i im happy they are adjusting this!!

The second improvement is around Corrupted Nexuses. They can be difficult and time consuming to find and often players progress in waystone tiers much faster than they can complete the Nexuses. We will be reducing the number of Nexuses needed to be completed to attain all your Atlas Passive Points and improving visibility of them into the Fog on the Atlas Map.
