Additional feedback after playing for a week

*** End Game ***

Towers feel a lot better however we still put in a t1 map with 6 mods and blast to the end. The tile sets for towers are terrible for league mechanics. Make towers like unique maps with their own unique rewards like any unique map.

As an ssf player I have no way to target any of my progression, all of my items are purely random which makes progression feel slow. I'm getting less exciting moments with the current system, just less dopamine.
I’d like a way to choose a favourite base type to drop more often so i have a workable goal to progress towards.

End game monster AoE damage is a little high, as an evasion / es build without acro almost all AoE from any creep will 1 shot you which is a little high. We should take this damage but 1 shot is unfair

*** Skill Gems ****

Gem system feels terrible and causes too much clutter PoE1 vendor system is just cleaner and also less rng gated. To calrify this is all the micro of the gems dropping, leveling up etc.

Having a gem you can’t use while leveling because you’re over levelled for the zone feels bad

Having, "do damage while standing on your head while looking sideways" supports gems, just bad

The old way of leveling gems in PoE1 felt better the new system is a downgrade in every way other than the nice UI

Level 20 Gems & Perfect Jewelers are far too rare and gated behind t16 maps, this doesnt feel good. I dropped a lvl 19 gem at 80 due to a ventors box and couldnt use it for 4 levels, this also feels bad.

*** Mechanics ***

Azmiri spirits are very unrewarding, even when it turned a rare into a boss and I basically got no loot it doesn’t feel good

Expedition, the vendors are now useless I just keep the currency for recombination

Ritual, rarely any good item loot, i just look for currency and omens.

*** Friction / Micro ***

The amount of 1x1 loot is going to cause me RSI.

Currency
Splinters (300 really?) Can we just pick up 1 and the rest vacume to you?
Uncut Gems
All in my maps, the weight of this is a medical bill in real life. Please save our hands this isn’t healthy and isn’t valuable friction when it causes harm. I can only imagine this will get worse with every mechanic added. Please this is a new ARPG please thingk of a modern solution.

*** Other ***

Vendors in hideout are useless when in maps please have their items ilvl level with our level like in the campaign
Please allow us to refresh vendors at a cost

A currency that allows us to re roll a tile set so in the event we get multiple good affixes or content on a map we can at least re roll it to something else random perhaps better. Doesn’t have to be common.

***Annoying Friction***
There are lots of parts of the game where cuts scenes or animations just slow the game for emersion but I just sit there going hurry up it doesn’t feel good. Ascendancies both Trial and Ultimatum have many of these annoying moments

Having to click the well, which serves no purpose when we have checkpoints that auto re fill. Just remove the well the emersion is pointless as is the extra click

Having to visit the gates to progress in act 2, why?

Having to tp to town after releasing the hooded one in act 1 before she can sing to open the passage, why?

You’re making PoE2 and yet a lot of the game feels like you’re reversing changes made in PoE1 that made the game better. The above friction slows the game for the worse and makes it the slog people are complaining about. Like the new town portal takes 2 seconds it looks cool but when you get hit in those 2 second you bet I’m annoyed. Why isn’t this instant?

Can we have a skip dialogue/story option that allows bosses to start faster to speed the campaign after the first play through

Tbh I completely agree with you, but they dont care. Johnathan will be the only one playing this game when it releases.
