The Balbala Fight is too Hopeless for too Many Archetypes

The Balbala fight that unlocks the NPC that unlocks the first trials in Act 2 needs a lot of tweaking, in my opinion. 1) The boss moves way too fast between the skills it casts for the majority of minion skills and caster skills available to the user at that time of levelling. 2) The boss stuns the user way too easily for that stage of the game (primarily Witches). 3) Autotargeting in that fight is trash (for those on controller). 4) There's SO much happening at once for the user to pay attention to that they can't keep track of it all as the boss fight progresses. 5) The boss' skills seem to do too much damage for all of the different ways the user can take damage in such a short amount of time. 6) Visibility can get quite conveluted with how busy the fight is and with all the ways the user can take "too much damage", the number of combos the boss can do to quickly kill the user is quite high. 7) Though part of the fight management is to use the yellow circles to "summon" the boss to that specific location, which also disallows the boss' minion not to be summoned, the boss deals so much damage in so many ways that the user will easily run out of flasks before the fight is done. So with many archetypes, the user is forced to let the boss' minions live so that they can keep their flasks up. 8) The collision detection for the boss' minions is too "thick". The user gets caught, and even blocked, by them often. A good reference point is doing this fight as a minion build, only having skeletons, as a league-launch. If the user has only invested into minions by this point (which is all they really have an option for at the beginning besides ES), you'll get a good feel for the "hopelessness" some archetypes feel with the current setup of the Balbala fight in Act 2. ROFL. The bosses minions? You mean the ones you don't have to fight because if you stand on where she drops the coin or w/e it is, she kills it and they don't' spawn?

I've killed balbala on every character I've ever tried, I'm surprised that she's that difficult for people.
the adds give decent potion charges so it's good to have an option to fight them if you have to. If you have trouble with her, try changing your build around, because I can assure you it's not a hard fight once you know the attack patterns and she's easy to stun. |
