Corrupting Superior Ornate Plate

Not sure if not possible to get 3sock with corruption on a normal item, but textlog showed me that it cannot apply more socket to the item (which I guess means it would've been a 3socket in this case).

But does this mean that it shouldve gotten a socket? Or hence why that "already has maximum amount of sockets" text appear after the Vaal Orb? Cheers. |

I don't quite understand what you want to know.
2 sockets is the maximum, and you can't use Artificer's Orb on a corrupted item. A 3rd socket can be obtained by corrupting a 2-socket item, this is one of four possible corruption outcomes (Adds an item socket to martial weapons and armor, ignoring socket limits). |
