Ascent to Power(Cruel) Bugged

This quest is bugged and I found a potential fix online to kill the boss on normal, so I ported to the normal version of Act 2 and now my game crashes when I start the game and load that character. Bricked. I need assistance this is a game breaking bug for me.

Edit: After loading my character multiple times I can finally get in but if I port to caravan it will crash. I dont have an ascendancy issue. The quest will just not complete. Not sure if there is a fix or I should ignore and continue to play? Also what is the quest reward anyways?

Edit 2: I just skipped it and continued forward. Obviously this is a known bug so excuse me for being uninformed. No one responded so this is as good as closed.
