Temporal Chains Map Mod Is Too Awful

Not fun. Doesn't make me think "I will switch to my anti curse effect setup" since that literally doesn't exist in PoE2.

Why make a curse that cannot be combatted when we have no real tools to reduce it's effect?

agreed, it so awfully slow on Crossbow too.
Reload is slow, Delay after shot is longer, walk speed is so much slower each shot, Dodge roll is like you want a deathwish more than trying to survive because you stay on your "rolling" animation more.

It should be abit lower base effectiveness if it will be multiplicative with every slow our Character did, like around 10% or something.

Agreed, it sucks, just played a map with it for the first time, the whole map is just torture. Run around the map, kill everything super slowly- fuck I missed one on the other sided of the map. Use a checkpoint, still crawl half the map to the last rare. My character should actually be doing a crawl animation, at least then it'd be funny.

Sometimes its like no one actually played it after they came up with the idea. Lets apply a 20% slow to everything! Ok, go run around a map with that on, then come back and present that idea again. All you have to do is play it for 5 minutes, get sad, bounce your head off the desk, and know its a bad idea!

Further than bad, its just not fun!

The game needs speed balance to be interactive, I'm all for it; however now that speed is so limited, you can't be taking it away willy nilly like this... especially when so many mobs are so fast.

Movement speed is a crazy stat, it has a crrrrazzzzy effect on the game. Too much and nothing can hit you, you're invincible. Too little and everything hits you, you're dead. Its super powerful, and we have basically one source of it. One stat, on one piece of gear. That by itself is bad design, but thats another topic.

Now, if this only effected movement speed... it would still be pretty fucking awful, but it effects attack speed, dodging, sanity........

Its straight up trolling.

Ggg just adjusted the suckhemas -30% movement speed stat to... I think if recently hit? Still pretty bad, but nothing like perma -30.

If it was a problem there, which it- I just don't get it. Why am I explaining this, is this not incredibly obvious that -x movement speed, when we have one source... I don't want to walk across the map that slow, muchless anything else!

What is with all of this choose your own shit the bed option stuff? Sukhemas, the chaos hell thing- does anyone actually think being negatively effected to make something more challenging is fun? You've put a lot of time in to make your character build and find gear to make it work... lets just nullify all of that with the honor system... or take your pick of all these terrible negation options.

Maps, the other stuff gets harder, most of the time. Its more challenging. Its not more challenging because you cut off my leg and handed me a paper plate to fight with. Wtf.

Oh :p There should be no doubt this is due to the patch. I left a related post somewhere on these forums not too long ago and as i mentioned there as well, temporal chains was always an undesirable mod, but never an annoying one. That barrier has now definitely been broken and in my opinion, at lightspeed :s
And if I'm allowed to repeat another phrase from that post : Please do not let the solution to this become the removal of things that are currently ONLY insufferable because this "meaningful" design made them so.

I completely agree, this map mod is so horribly fun-draining. I would not care so much if it was just a movement speed reduction, but it straight up affects all animations as well. We dont even have ways to mitigate it, and the anti-slow charms dont affect it due to it being a map modifier. real bad choice by GGG
Can honestly say, i've never run one once. As soon as i see the mod, it gets junked.

The worst mod. add temporal bubble and regen and its a real blast
legit just got out of work and came home to run a few maps and the first one i vaaled added temporal chains but kept the good modifiers so i said 'eff it' and ran it...

immediately closed the game after completing the map. what a sh*t modifier.
