Immortal Combo – Intricate Gloves + Eternal Life breaks health bar

I assume this is a bug, not intended.

Using these gloves:

Together with the Lich tree's Eternal Life ascendancy, I become basically immortal—casting any spell restores Energy Shield instantly.

But this combo breaks the health bar. My life drops lower every time I equip the gloves. It’s now stuck at 50% even after unequipping them.

Tried relogging—doesn’t fix it. Haven’t died yet, but I shouldn’t have to do that to reset my health bar.

The devs believe you have to (they should've call the notable "Phoenix" instead). Or use annoying (and lame) get-arounds like: get rid of ES, unspec Eternal Life, wear the helmet with Eldrith Battery, etc. There's no a designed way to recover life.

Actual life or life level on the globe drops? The gloves provide maximum life, so your maximum raises but the current life stays unchanged.

Maybe i did a bad job explaining the actuall bug. the health bar gets locked forever, until you die. what if i played a HC character ????

I got you clearly. This problem is one of the most frequently reported here (~5-10 threads per day). It's hard to believe but yes, you either die or do the weird stuff I mentioned to get around the limitation. I appreciate the video anyway.

Note, that you can still recover life during a fight (via a life flask for example) when your ES is fully depleted. The life globe thing when you use the well is just a visual glitch.
