Game Balance Ideas

Reviewed the stream with Zizaran , played the campaign three times now twice as a Ranger (Once with twink leveling gear.) and once as a huntress.

Campaign

Problem's

- 9/10 of the times if your damage feels bad its because you haven't changed out equipment fast enough and its not always your fault. Even after throwing currency at a character it felt only enough to make it bearable not over powered.

- A lot of the campaign has a lot of walking back and fourths for quests, warping through loading zones for turn ins and making things more tedious. (There have been corrections in this last patch 10APR25 but there's more refinement needed.)

- The current gearing systems lack variety of defense scaling....its completely one sided favoring evasion and energy shield scaling (passives usually scale both on the passive tree. Very efficient.) especially because theirs no HP per level , HP passives and a lot of the times your weighing health on gear for flat defenses as your constantly fixing that at every state of the game.

Recommendation's

-The game lacks crafting content, not having the alteration orb or scouring ( Could even consider making chaos orbs, re roll rares again as currently its a redundant currency.) is hurting your current crafting options and currency system. All problems related to damage can be solved with the implementation of these. Either you have more items drop, or you introduce a currency that changes the effects of already dropped items. Also I would do this before further weakening monsters as than you will have to do double work, IE. buffs and nerfs.

- Notorious for double work...going to the zone warping back to town to talk to an npc to go back in the map interact and warp back into town. Look stream line the game, its nice talking to the npc once but on my second play through, I careless about dialogue and just want to push through. I don't have all the answers but one area I would consider minimizing is putting the consort and praeter in one asylum they were husband and wife and theirs little to no differences that could cut like 10 min alone out of the campaign with still getting the same experience. The monsters in the map are nice killing...hate the reflecting dulahams but I see the idea out of it.

-Consider re balancing of HP scaling, buffing armor and adding in on hit effects Could tie more into the charm system if you want to utilize that, physical damage activated.). The game needs variety, the fact that 90% of the builds are ES/EV should have been a sign.

Endgame

Problem's

-Lacks continuity, the objective of a atlas passive tree is to target farm content you feel enjoyable to at which it feels rewarding.

- You made hundreds of bosses scattered throughout the acts but you focused the core objective on mapping to clear the rares. (Not a problem per say but feel like dropping the ball on utilizing assets to the fullest.)

-Not saying make the maps smaller but check points aren't the answer, the Rhoa was a nice introduction but more movement speed options or dashes in general if your going to scale the maps to current size. POE one started with little movement abilities, it got away with it for a long time because a lot of the maps were squared off or not as dense or laid out in a manner where you had a linear direction (Ledge I'm looking at you!).

Reccomendation's

- Reverse the formula for the mapping device, the tier attached to the every growing map and the currency containing the map of choice and consider more ways to influence towers to provide content to the maps similar to the mapping device in POE 1 where you can turn all content to a specific content such as expedition, breach or etc...

- Utilize the hundreds of bosses you took hours creating, (I see the effort put into them, the blood sweat and tears especially the act one and act 2 detail.) return to core of map clearing of killing the boss.

- One idea for movement speed changes, is consider movement speed on kill gems. (Will also help with not trivializing bosses, as movement speed makes there attacks/spells easier to dodge. )
