Spear - Fangs of Frost

Please add a way to trigger the nova on Fangs of Frost without parrying.
I'm not using a shield, theres also an option to use a armored shield. Needing to use a buckler to trigger the Nova is 1/3rd the available gear set up's to use this skill with. Suggestions : A support gem that has a %chance to make enemies off balanced / parried on attack hit? Fangs of Frost can use frenzy charges to trigger the nova that is a weaker version of the parried nova? Hitting Enemies has a % chance to trigger nova with fangs of frost? Also can we please get more skill slots? Seems odd that I'm unable to fill all my skill UI slots. Something I was doing very often in POE1. chances of getting a beta key 0.000001 % Last bumped on Aug 23, 2025, 3:00:17 AM

Also is it possible to make it so that Elemental sundering works on enemies that lost the ailment / died in the time you triggered the ability?
It really sucks when you freeze enemies around you and drop the Elemental Sundering on them only for the enemies to die before you even get a chance to trigger it. chances of getting a beta key 0.000001 %

> A support gem that has a %chance to make enemies off balanced / parried on attack hit?
> Hitting Enemies has a % chance to trigger nova with fangs of frost? That'd make parry even less utilized than it is now. > Fangs of Frost can use frenzy charges to trigger the nova that is a weaker version of the parried nova? Could work but then in line with other skills you wouldn't be able to generate frenzy charges with fangs of frost. |

Maybe fifth hit could make a nova or something, the skill is not viable for doing dmg, far worse than basic attack... but it's nice to apply freeze or exposure with it.

" Correct. perhaps they should examine why nobody wants to use this skill. |

You can use the new culling skill and the level 2 spirit gem combat frenzy
|
|
" Well the skill has no interaction for nova outside of the parry follow up. chances of getting a beta key 0.000001 %

Was this ever addressed? I only see a gem quality change in the patch notes for 0.3.0
