feedback on delwyn and spirits

i run the border of any zone first establishing the perimeter. then i run the interior space. about 50% of the time, when i come across delwyn, he says "the spirit is near" but there is no spirit. feels like something is broken.

Don't even bother. It's not worth it. Dead mechanic.
i do enjoy the fights it can provide, but if you mean not worth it because of the loot, i agree.

i like that the game is being updated and i REALLY hope they start to do something about the loot being so utterly trash. its like poe 2 is some kind of cruel poverty simulator.
I get that 50% of the time. Just Delwyn chillin in the map, and no wisp to be found. Honestly I can live with it for now though. When it does proc the fights are fun, but the loot is pretty paltry so when they don't show up it's not a big deal. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.
I have found that if you already defeated all the rares in that area, this is what causes the spirits to not be present.

For GGG, potential solutions:

When delwyn is present in an area, mark him on the minimap so players can find him and not miss their chance for the encounter.

Alternatively, if all rares are defeated, have the spirit produce a new rare monster.

It feels punishing that you go through the trouble of clearing an area to find bonus content, just to find out you screwed it up by killing the monsters the content interacts with... Both suggestions I made have issues, and may need a balance discussion. First option makes it really easy for players to farm spirits, second option creates a benefit to killing all rares first to get a "bonus" rare that drops more loot/gives experience. I don't see either being a big deal, as with the first we are already marking rares on maps, why not Delwyn? The second of which doesn't seem like a big deal either. Other encounters produce rares, why can't the Dawn of the hunt? Other than the fact that this can lead to a situation where the encounter is easier as you don't have to fight through mobs, is it that big of a deal? Perhaps in these situations give the rare generated by this condition a slight power bump without pumping drop rates?

This happened to me multiple times throughout campaign too. But I don't even care about wisps because they drop nothing. Why make my life more tedious for nothing
