my review of the league "dawn of white mobs"

I am writing this text without emotions. in a calm state.

I started playing with a new league for the Huntress.
This is a terrible gaming experience. From the very beginning of the game you are brutally fucked. and with progression you do not get better.

The merchants sell garbage items. Elite mobs and bosses do not drop items at all. In Act 6, you are still dressed in shit at level 16. I have no items from mobs. I have no currency and I can not craft. All I have saved up is 5 exes, which is not even enough for a good spear.

I am stuck on the top of abomination and can not pass this boss, because I get a oneshot from any of her attacks. Damn it, I am an ordinary player, not a Korean eSportsman. Why the fuck do I need this? I just want to relax with a beer, I do not want to spend hours in the company of a burning ass, and reverse at the sight of every pack of white mobs.

I want the developer to sit down and play the fucking campaign and not do anything else until he beats it from scratch. Like a regular player, without godmod mode.
I understand that the merchants don't use their dope, but I want them to understand what a piece they made.

Sounds like you don't like ARPGs then lol
I understand that there is a mainstream audience that wants easy-mode ARPGs.

If engaging with these crafting systems, and the greater difficulty of POE2 isn't your jam.... D4, WoW, and Last Epoch are all there... Last Epoch specifically has a neat system called "Circle of Fortune" that lets crazy loot drop constantly, but barrs you from trading it, so it doesn't mess up the trade economy.

----

I personally can't stand the easy mindless ARPG trend (I think POE1 is too mindless!), so POE2 SSF and VRising Brutal are my favorite games in the genre right now. I do wish POE2 had some more *directed* later-stage crafting. This is early access, and we are getting more of it (slowly).

If you spend a little time learning the POE2 systems, it's really not very hard to get yourself pretty geared up most of the time. I only play Solo Self Found, and i put 3 classes in maps in 0.1, and my 0.2 huntress went from end of campaign to instant T4 maps (maybe lightning spear is a bit overpowered)

-----

5 exalts is enough for where you are at.. Exalts are not for crafting upgrades.. they are for FINISHING an upgrade that is already an upgrade.

I use blue drops, white bases, essences, and blue-orbs to get a 2-affix blue weapon which is ALREADY an upgrade before I do anything else.

Once I have a blue magic weapon that would be an upgrade, I throw a regal and exalt on it hoping for it to get supa-good... and if I get unlucky, it was ALREADY an upgrade anyway!

Dude, this is not a hard game. It's stuffy and tedious. I played these acts in the first league, I don't want to play them again, and not like this.
I don't mind complex and interesting mechanics. Raising the difficulty level in the endgame. I'm against dumb acts with white concrete mobs, and bosses that oneshot.
I play, but I don't feel like I'm getting stronger.
boring and tedious, played this new league u to lvl 20, uninstalled

I think many do feel the same sentiment, wanting the game to be a bit more AFK click around and relax. but this is not the vision. it's meant to be engaging, grindy, and perhaps even frustratingly unfair at times. these aren't inherently bad but they can be if it's the "entire" experience, which currently is sort of is. hopefully they are able to tune the game a bit more for players who want to sort of "keep moving forward" without going back to grind campaign maps and such.

that kind of is the whole argument lately. should we need to grind in the campaign or should grinding be end game content? many people feel like, why should I grind in the campaign, why am I spending so much time to find low level gear that I will sell. I spend a full playing session grinding for a weapon that I will want to replace the next day, kind of thing.
