Cast on minion death feels pointless for a "kill your own minions" build

So long story short, Im playing a build that scales up minion life and dmg, to get the most out of minion instability and infernal legion support and I cant use cast on minion death without ruining my playstyle. This seems wrong.
As of 0.2.0 srs doesnt work with cast on minion death, and neither does last gasp support. Even though it should per its describtion: "Supports skills that create Persistent Minions, causing those Minions to fight on for a short duration before dying when they are fatally wounded. Minions from Supported Skills die 4 seconds after their Life is reduced to 0" This results in only 1 way to use cast on minion death, which is to remove last gasp from the exploding minions. Last gasp is specifically used in this build to limit the downtime of the exploding minions, and as such is a critical componant that cannot be removed from the build. This leaves the player choice to either be dont play the build, or dont use cast on minion death. On your specialised "kill you own minions" build. Please do something, because this feels like a design flaw that can easily be resolved. Last bumped on Apr 9, 2025, 11:21:50 PM

To be honest, this was my build. But the Devs of GGG are ruining POE2 already. The new season is unbearable with how slow the game is. The drops do not equivalate to the needed items to be successful. The damage doesn't scale to make the game enjoyable. So thank so to GGG, my choices are now:
1: Try to fix my main character which is completely broken now. 2: Play through the boring slow game with a new character. 3: Don't play the game at all. I think for this game, until the dev's get their heads out of their ass, I'll be choosing option 3. Waste too.... I paid for the big supporter pack... Now I'm just wishing I'd saved my money. |

I used this feature when leveling last season. It was cool.
It's sad that when nerfing something, the developers simply DESTROY it by making it 100% useless! This reduces the diversity of game mechanics in the game, which is now visible in the "diversity" on poe2.ninja. I already gave feedback on this topic: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3740606 Most would agree that there is something wrong with the meta skills and they need to be reworked, but a nerf to the state of "100% useless" is definitely the kind of rework that will benefit the game? |
