Getting Frenzy Charges in boss fights sucks.

With the addition of cull the weak, it just further highlights that the frenzy charge system when it comes to bosses sucks.

You're options for frenzy charges are:

1) Parry, then disengage from the boss. Hope you know what attacks are able to be parried or get smashed.

2) Combat Frenzy, which will generate a charge when you freeze/electrocute/pin. Unless you are running all three, you'll get a charge or two per ailment as bosses have resistance to these affects after they suffer them once.

3) Cull the Weak, which only works on ads, so unless the boss is spawning ads you get 0 frenzy charges.

Is the intention of the game to severely limit the powered up versions of the spear attacks during boss fights unless parry is used, which limits the build diversity of spear users to make builds that don't involve parrying but do involves any of the skills that require a frenzy charge.

this here, is one of the best ways to generate charges.

i have had no issues generating charges this way, and with this, i use it on several toons.

you need to run elemental resistance pen, and shock/freeze chance.

i have no issue getting Frenzy charges on bosses.

I really want to see you get frenzy charges. Can you make a video? Stream it? Now? I have tried a variety of support gems/skills and nothing is enough to get frenzy on bosses.

sniper's mark is how i am going to be generating charges with a cast on shock. i'm not there yet though.

parry vs boss is very annoying, i agree. uniques do way more slams than white monsters, and their attack loop doesn't let you parry. so i haven't been relying on it, like most of the other huntress players who are playing instead of posting during work.

i'm repeating myself so many times with this b/c i feel insane but parry just feels fine in a1? there's a lot of white mobs, you can parry them and explode the pack from it. as your character gains power you will want to engage with monsters on _your_ terms instead of waiting to parry and it's very natural to build out of parry when you are able to.

100000% agree. I made a post about it a few days ago. Glad to know im not alone. I wish there was a slow constant way to generate them.
