Glacial Lance No Support Gems?

Hi GGG,

Level 86 Amazon here, using Ice Skills from level 1.

I have noticed that Glacial Lance has multiple support gems that do not work or gems that should be able to socketed can't.

For instance,

"Volt" can be socketed however the skill does not chain.

"Freezefork" can be socketed but it cannot fork.

Another example is "Verglas" it can be socketed, but the skill does not form ice crystals. This support gem is useless as well.

Scattershot can not even be socketed, but it works with Lightning Lance instead?...

This makes Glacial Lance very limited to what you can put in there to increase the AOE coverage, making it pretty much useless endgame.

Update: I just switched to Lightning Spear, and I can clear the whole screen? Like seriously..? It makes Glacial Lance look like a joke now. I can spam a lightning spear to clear a screen, but for Glacial Lance to even be good, I need to get frenzy charges first and it cannot even clear a screen like Lightning Spear?

Scattershot should be able to work with Glacial Lance as minimum..

AoE damage gems also don't seem to work on it. Using concentrated effect does not increase damage at all (this is true for several Spear abilities)

It's really bad compared to Lightning Spear.
