Viper Napuatzi - Solider poison spear phase and post fight behavior

The first time in the fight it worked okay, but the 2nd time when Napuatzi starts the solider poison spear sequence the projectiles did not render nor do damage to me (the soliders still went through the animations. After the fight was over the few remaining soldiers did not move or aggro, but were able to be killed.
