Smith of Kitava acendancy - offensive skills very lacking, defense solid.

I'm having a good time with the defensive nodes - the armor is great during the campaign until you get an actually good armor piece (although there are a bunch of undesirable options, 20% strength, 15% health, 5% health regen, and 75% res of your choice are quite good!), and the seperate fire res and max res nodes are very solid, but I find all of the damage oriented nodes... absolutely undesirable.
The summoned weapon? It's a companion, no way I'm benching my tamed beast for that thing. The "smithing"? I might consider standing there like an idiot smithing my weapon for EVERY SINGE SWING if it literally oneshot packs, but there seems to be some scaling issue or bug - the numbers appear big, but monsters health bars don't really move at all from this skill. Cast on melee hit? I'm a warrior, I have no int and no spell damage anywhere near my starting position. This does nothing for me. In summary this acendancy currently has exactly 4 skill points I plan to use once I find an armor good enough to replace the "self made" one. That's not great. Last bumped on Apr 7, 2025, 6:07:42 PM

The problem is that we have like 3 Fire spells and they all suck.
