Why is parry even a huntress mechanic when it would fit duelist way more?

As the title says, imo it doesn't fit the class fantasy at all to wear a buckler and being a melee/range hybrid should be enough of a gimmick. Not to mention putting most of the classes power behind a defensive option.

If not scrapping parry for huntress altogether how about adding 2handed versions of spears that scale better dmg wise?

I also said this! Parry mechanics seem more down the duelist's lane, and it should be a class/weapon skill not something tied to a shield (also it's weird that Spear skills are so tightly tied to a specific shield, very restrictive).
Yep, I don't think I've ever seen a hunter/huntress being depicted with a buckler either. The combo itself doesn't feel rewarding either. The entire combo of parry, disengage into empowered spear does less damage than some other one button spells with no setup required.

The spear throws might have been fun if a buff like blood rage from poe1 existed in poe2. Idk why they are so hesitant to make it easy to give charges, in poe2 the charges themselves don't even do anything.

If parry has to stay, atleast make the parry itself give the frenzy charge, not this clunky a.. combo where half the time the disengage doesn't even target the parried mob. Disengage would be fine as a pure mobility tool without having to be part of the damage.

It kind of feels like the empowered versions of the spear throws should be the base version without charged and the empowered version something else or just more dmg.
