Spear of Soalris, Hammer of the Gods + Glory Feedback
First of: I really do like the new Glory mechanic for Spear of Solaris and Hammer of the Gods. It makes investing into Stun Buildup really cool because you get your payoff skills more often.
BUT Spear of Solaris is severly undertuned. I tried scaling every avenue possible in different magnitudes and combinations (Hit, Ailment, hybrid etc.) It never deals any sigificant damage. On top of that, regardles of it doing no substantial damage, the animation + duration of the skill leads to most bosses even when immediatly using it (with very high attack speed even) when the boss gets heavy stunned still leave the area before it fully ends. I have two suggestions for this: 1. Significantly buffs its damage 2. Change it so, the laser and burning ground are not growing but shrinkign and frontload most of its damage. So it deals a lot of initial burst damage. Let the DoT portion "decay" and deal less damage the longer the skil lis active. Visually you could make the laser a bit brighter early on and then shrink and vanish. This woudl also help with visually clarity if it starts shrinkign and the glow decays. Possible Bugs: I tested several support gems and its very hard to test the damage, but none of the support gems noticeably buffed its damage, some not evne doing anything, even thoug they should. For Exampel Searing Flame (less hit more ignite magnitude) doesn't seems to do anything and the tooltip for the burning ground is even lowering when you slot it in. Hammer of the Gods: The change with the Glory mechanic I totally understand, but why even nerf the damage this much? The skill ahs such a long cast time PLUS delay. You are literally losing dps on boss fights now, it seems to be only good to burst down a rare and thats it. Please give these skills some love. I really want them to work and function and feel like a payoff. Right now both of them are simply not worth it. Spear is severly worse than Hammer, but still hammer lost too much raw damage. Big agree, was extremely happy with the visual and the concept but it just has no reward behind it.

Ditto. I had been waiting to top off my bleed build with the final two skills. While the Wind serpent didnt leave me wanting much, the spear of solaris Feels like they nerfed it - forgot about that and then nerfed it again, before slapping the glory mechanic on it without testing, and called it a day.
I love it thematically, and Im happy with glory and all. But the spear skill shouldnt have such a high glory req. if its pretty much a DOT without the tag (so you cant use stuff that takes advantage of it) with additional cast time and such. The glory cost shouldnt be anywhere near as high as HOTG since SOS is a weak impact (heavy impact according to the tool tip) followed by 2 dots - AND we are on a class that has weaker stun potential. Im all for having things that work with other weapons, but The skills of a weapon should always work with itself. It would have made more sense if glory was gotten by applying or killing enemies with ailments. Then - like the Mace, it would have its own requirements that fit the Class/weapon. I was even more impressed (in the worst way) when I realized the impact wasn't doing the promised 523% - but just 100% of my damage. This inconsistency exists on a lot of skills, but what confuses me, is that none of the others are 100% of my attack. they dont follow the tool tip, and they don't tell you how much they hit for on the tab. Either way, its much more than underwhelming, and from the information ive found, there is nothing that fixes it, on any build, class, or weapon combo. Its just a trash skill - and that super sucks.
