POE 1 vs POE 2

This is the primary issue. People that never played POE1 and are playing POE2 like the game style and feel of the soul type play. People that played POE1 for years do not like the soul type playstyle because it is not like POE 1.

To the people that say “if you don’t like the game leave”- If it was not for the POE1 players spending their money on POE 1 there would be no POE 2. This is as much as our game as it is the newcomers.

Player count- When the beta for POE 2 came out on Steam the high was 578,569. The high so far for the current patch is 246,345. I am guessing the number will never get over 300,000 with the current state of the patch.

Business standpoint- If your player base continues to drop by half you will not have a player base. Because the game will become free to play once it goes live the only money generation will be from players buying microtransactions. If your player base is low that means low sales and less revenue.

Trying to find a middle ground to keep both fractions happy is going to be tough. I know POE 1 had the ruthless mode that might be more inline with the soul type gameplay but I do not know if that would work well with the current programing of the game.

One suggestion would be to convert POE 1 graphics to the same graphic upgrades as POE 2. They could call it POE 1 remastered. Make the seasons the same for POE 1 and POE 2.

Everyone that is enjoying POE 2 have fun with it. To the people that do not like it there is always Last Epoch on April 17th.

To GGG – the game is both good and bad. You’re never going to make everyone happy. You’re going to have to decide what hill you want to die on unless you can find some means of making POE 1 and POE 2 players happy.

Please stop trying to promote LE indirectly.

You can like a game but stop going around and promoting them in other game's forums.

You probably wouldn't know the shady deeds LE's devs commits to would you?
They actively ban constructive voices while putting up $50 MTX packs on Steam until Steam came up with a way to stop these broken EAs that looked for ways to continue collect funds while not doing anything.
