Campaign is miserable. Game is no longer fun.

I currently have 834.7hrs in POE2. 813 of those hours were well spent fun hours. The last 20 some hours I spent on Dawn of the Hunt have been a soulless mindless miserable respawn simulator. The best part of my experience is that no loot drops and whatever currency I did find was spent to upgrade gear that still did nothing to bosses. I have over 20 hours and 130+ deaths on my huntress that just BARELY made it out of Normal Acts after fighting jamanra and doryani for about 10 combined hours.

The idea of "slow and meaningful combat" has completely ruined the game and stripped it of everything that made it fun. Dying to white mobs over and over while trying to complete a 10 step combo to barely do any damage is definitely the epitome if gaming. The concept of slow and meaningful combat would be great if the reward system reflected the difficulty, but spending 4 hours on a boss and getting 50 gold and two blue drops is not the business.

Its bad dude, completely unplayable in its current form.
which skills have you been using to fight Jamanra / Dorani?
It doesnt matter.

Im +3 melee skill gems levels from gear
using a yellow staff with + physical damage
Im using a physical damage skill upgraded +5 quality and 3 slots.
Im level 31.

I do no damage to Jamanra. My attack does not create a visible dent in his health bar. In fact un-upgraded auto attack does more damage.

Problem its attack speed leaves me open to be hit every time for 40% of my health bar.

with no run speed on my boots him in the center of the screen and me running in a circle following the floor pattern, the circle on the floor.

He can hit me with the lightning bolt attack EVERY time. I don't stop moving im cutting across his field of vision the whole time ... i need to move to the wall, literally scraping the oval wall of the room, then and only then will his attacks miss me if i run non stop.

Problem im melee.
His attacks do 40% of my health bar.
I only have 10% lightning resist.

I would need to fight him for 10-25 minutes to kill him .

To recap

lvl 31
yellow weapon with added physical
physical damage skill
+3 to skill level

Point allocation = who cares, at level 31 there should be no expectation that skill point allocation is carrying the day.

Im standing right at his encounter .
I have not even logged in today.
I just dont feel like playing "The right way" i guess.
At level 31 , in normal , with all upgraded gear... its a joke.
I think a lot of people's problem with 0.2.0 are more specific to the Huntress than to anything else, which is really strange given that it is the central content that was promoted for this patch's launch

oh trust me minion witch aint any better
ur minions die instantly to every fart in the wind while dealind literally 0 damage which is followed by u just mindlessly kiting and running away

This aint fun no more and even i with also 600h in poe2 consider quiting for good

Such a strawman attack dude and you know it. People are not asking for that and you know it. The game needs work and criticism is good for the devs. If you can't handle its not our problem. Nobody is asking for full screen clear with 1 button and a blue weapon. They nerfed every class, skill and restricted builds to oblivion. They went to far and need to rectify it fast.

No be very clear.

All mobs in normal should be balanced for blue gear.
No gem upgrades.

All mobs in Cruel can be balanced to yellow gear.
Full gem upgrades.

PostGame, content to push to ideal suffix and prefix with heavy synergies and full defense layers.

As a general guide.

If a character using a yellow weapon which i am .
Im level 31 im over leveled.
Im using a physical skill with a weapon that enhances that .
I have upgraded the gem to 3 slots.
I have added quality to it.
I am wearing legendary gloves.

0 damage!
There is nothing you are going to do with 0 damage.

I fought to this mob.
I cleared every mob in the way .
In fact i did it several times, it how i leveled, i figured i must have hit it too early.

I figured because i was off meta, Im not using the bell, Im not using Ice. That perhaps i need to over level a bit.

0 damage!

I cannot win this fight, I will run out of resources.
Im a monk, Cheyula ascendancy , I have resource leech spawning all around me all the time, its the core of the character to be able to sustain long fights if needed .. nope ... the +3 skills leads to higher than usual mana use.
The added DPS should compensate but doesn't in fact there is none.

GGG is gating players in their 20-30 in an ARPG.
Its a new take to try to make a game that rewards you with nothing .
And the rewards you accumulate do nothing ..
I mean its bold .. defiantly a new take on the genre.
