Unique abilities for all ascendancies

Is there any reason why devs aren’t adding unique abilities for Ascendancies? I just think it’d be pretty dope and make classes way more fun. Like, imagine if a Blood Mage actually got blood-themed skills instead of just ‘spend HP for abilities and heal from orbs.’ Y’know what I mean? What do y’all think?

because it pingeon hole the builds. IF these skills are average level no one will pick the nodes. IF they are OP enough to warrant an ascendency node.. then everyone will make the same character.
I think it would be great. And i think that's the main reason there are CLASSES in these types of games. Some ascendancies actually have unique skills. But I wouldn't put them in the passive tree, they should be skill gems class locked. The argument about "people would choose them and..." blah blah doesn't work. People are already picking the same skills and nodes base on popular builds or what's broken. There's always a way to balance things, devs either know how, or don't, or don't want to/plan to.

But, class specific skills is one of the many things i personally think would be great to add. Especially if they're theme related. For the blood mage, imagine a skill that's like a blood pool that tries to root enemies walking over it; or a blood lance that pierces enemies; or a temporal control of an enemy through the blood, or a pox that burns enemies inside and jumps between monsters (like many other skills do, contagion, poisons, freeze through nova, etc). I mean the possibilities are endless, and not necessarily broken.

And if someone says "But pOe is AbOuT beInG able to dO AnyThiNg, thEre cAn't be clAsS locKs", then why are there classes, or why can't i change my character and make a male necromancer, or female warrior, why the ascendancy tree with nodes that are barely different from the nodes in the rest of the passive tree except for some particular ones. There're a lot of counters to that lazy argument. But sorry for this last rant, i'm getting ahead of myself.

I think it's a good game that needs some minor tweaks, and some not so minor ones like this.
