Lich doesnt get any spirit focused nodes?
|
Like, kinda doesnt really make sense does it?
A lich is an immortal being, known for commanding legions of the dead pretty much in every fantasy universe. Meanwhile the infernalist does get a spirit node "+1 spirit per 25 max life" this node should belong to the lich not the infernalist. The infernalist gets 4 minion focused nodes while the lich only gets 1. It should be the other way around. ![]() PLEASE! Give the lich spirit/minion focused nodes it deserves. ![]() Last edited by nabak1996#0882 on Mar 31, 2025, 12:14:23 AM Last bumped on Apr 9, 2025, 8:44:26 AM

@simple20212
"As powerful undead beings, liches were potent necromancers and wielded great power over life and death: they were able to disrupt the life forces of those nearby and were highly effective at animating the dead, so it was little surprise that they often commanded small armies of lesser undead. Even good liches relied on undead servants and wielded great influence over the undead." - https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Lich "were highly effective at animating the dead" Wheres my high efficiency at animating the dead? "so it was little surprise that they often commanded small armies" Wheres my army of undead? WHY IS MY ARMY SMALLER THAN THE FIRE WHICH! SCAM! Ofcourse the lich should have a larger army of the undead than any other class or ascendancy. Its a proper necromancer that has spent their life mastering life and death summoning undead servants is a trivial thing for them, like breathing for the living. Most Liches mentioned in Lore is a powerful necromancer, they usually go hand in hand, heres a few examples of lore from notable liches:
Szass Tam was a powerful lich He was the Zulkir of Necromancy and commanded Cyric's Legion and the Legion of Bone, a huge army of undead soldiers, led by his vampire and lich generals. Tam was also a spell inventor. Most notably, he developed the spell animate dread warrior. Tam found a way to "recycle" leftovers from necromantic experiments. Discarded bodies, unusable for anything else, were transformed by the lich into bloodhulks. Another unholy creation of Tam's necromancy was the Omen of Despair, a unique black unicorn that siphoned hope and joy from all living things around it. Vlaakith CLVII, also known as the Lich Queen, was the ruler of the githyanki race. She had the abilities of a fully developed githyanki and most of the basic lich abilities. She was also a powerful wizard who trained herself in the arts of necromancy Velsharoon As a god, "experimenting on both living and dead." "In his humanoid form, Velsharoon wielded the Skull Staff of the Necromancer." "As a god, he was granted Cyric's portfolio over necromancy" "using his undead servants to spread chaos and destruction" Archlich "Despite their noble natures, archliches often made use of zombies and skeletons as minions as they had the ability to animate such creatures at will. Still, they had no interest in raising armies." "Larloch, called the Shadow King." "He'd ingrained one spell of every level with no need for preparation, namely... "animate dead," control undead, devastate undead..." and could cast them once a day without components. A favorite tactic was to use devastate undead against his own minions, to drain their health and power his own." "Larloch sent his bonebats and skeletal giant bats ridden by undead servants, as well as stranger undead creatures, out of Warlock's Crypt to hunt for live creatures and travelers, especially live humans. These were brought to Larloch for his experimentation in undeath." "Larloch also had minions (primarily bound liches) working for him" "As the Shadow King of Warlock's Crypt, Larloch commanded an army of undead creatures to serve and protect him. They were his immortal, devoted servants. Among them was a small army of liches" "He ruled a city populated by undead, including liches, vampires, wraiths, wights, and legions of lesser undead creatures. A troop of trolls also defended the city. Larloch also sometimes summoned kastighur demons from the Barrens of Doom and Despair to serve him." So theres presedence that a Lich should have no issue summoning tons of undead minions without a problem. |
