Dawn of the Hunt new league question

Hey folks, I just want to understand why stash contents/gold can not carry over from old league to the new one? I will certainly play with a fresh start upon release. Just wished at least the contents of my stash carried over =(

When the new league drops the servers will be split. There will be a brand new league that has a completely fresh economy, everything from stash is wiped but you keep your stash tabs for organizing.

The special thing about this new patch is that the currency characters/server will also be provided the new content which you will be able to access with your current characters. The balance changes with gems and items are automatically put out though so your character could feel terrible after the patch. Also almost 97% of players will be playing the new league so if you want to trade or have any interaction with others you’ll have to play the new economy.

This will be the only time they do that though most likely. All other patches will have the new content on the new economy then the “standard” or already created characters have to wait en extra patch/league to get the newest content while everyone else gets to play the then new content. Standard is always a league behind.

POE-like ARPGs benefit from full wipes. It encourages players to return, as it provides a sense of freshness to the game. It creates an ebb and flow from one league to the next, helping to drive MTX sales. It's a great model from a business perspective.

Some players don't like it, but most do. It's nice to be able to explore new league mechanics on an even playing field, knowing that everyone starts on the same footing in a fresh economy.

So be to clear, previous leagues doesn't get wiped, there's no wipes per say...but when you start fresh on a new league, you start from scratch without any items but you can return to your previous characters in the previous league if you want to and everything will still be there.

Correct. Balance changes and skill changes apply to your old characters but you keep all your divines and currency you made.
