PoE2 Crashes 24h2 still not fixed (ignored by GGG), Comments deleted from Steam related to 24h2

After all this time, GGG still hasn’t come up with a fix, despite repeatedly claiming that resolving this issue was a priority. It’s now been more than three months.

When I first bought the game and encountered this problem, people told me, "It’s early access, just give them time—they’ll sort it out." Well, here’s a joke for you: buy an early access game from GGG, only to discover that, to put it mildly, "it doesn't function as expected." Then, wait for the official launch when the game goes free-to-play, and watch as random newcomers who never had faith in GGG end up having a better experience than those who actually supported PoE2 from day one.

I can now see that I misjudged GGG as a company. Their approach to handling technical issues has been pretty terrible. Normally, I wouldn’t even waste my time discussing it, but I really don’t appreciate feeling ripped off. On top of that, it seems like people are way too eager to shower the game with praise while turning a blind eye to its major flaws. We need to speak up and expose the other side of the story—because, right now, it’s not a pretty picture.

To those blaming Windows—just try running other games and see if they also completely lock up your PC. I have a strong suspicion they won’t. And if, by some miracle, you manage to compile a massive list of games that cause hard crashes, be sure to send it to GGG—maybe they’d have better luck troubleshooting someone else’s game instead of their own.

Even after all this, I still want to play—but could we at least get some real answers?
What have you actually discovered about the issue? Do we have any insight into the root cause? Has the Windows team provided any useful updates?

The worst of these is a full system freeze that has occurred since Windows 11’s 24H2 update. We still don’t know exactly what caused this problem, but we have deployed a workaround that seems to be preventing the freeze. We are working with Microsoft to find a better long term solution.

It is from february, maybe they gave more updates idk, but i am certain it is just hard to fix.
also people report the same shit in PoE 1 in legacy of phrecia. Obviously most of the fault is with windows. I know that ubislop games had problems with that update too, how bad it was i dont know.

Downgrading or going back to win 10 is the best solution. Or install second system, though i personally messed it up and installed win 10 over existing win 11. Would prefer to use 11 and will upgrade immediately when they fix, a bit lazy to bother with earlier versions.

it is not only w11 problem is a problem with the game itself downgrade to w10 dont help me at all. luck for me i can go to Dynasty Origin and Rise of the ronin, dont think i go for the new season with no fix for this

If downgrading to W10 doesn't help, then your problem is probably your own problem, and probably hardware related.

Its not the Windows 24H2 update, nor a W11 problem.

I know this is painful, but to get an honest assessment, we have to start over from scratch. Format your HD... Install W10. Install your specific hardware drivers. Install Steam. Install POE2. See if that works.

If it doesnt work, physically remove GPU. Remove GPU drivers. Attempt to play game using the embedded GPU. If you dont have embedded GPU then this step will be difficult. A suggestion is find something on ebay thats cheap. We're trying to eliminate the GPU as the source of the problem.
