Why are there rmt spammers in 2025?

Why do I get private-messaged every time I log in by 1-4 random accounts about RMT?

Does GGG not keep logs/ban these accounts?

Probably the worst part about PoE2. Have not experienced this in PoE1 in many years.

I always ignore and report, but seems like it falls on deaf ears, or there is collusion.

I don't think these spammers would spend $30 each time they get banned to buy a new account. GGG must not be banning them.

I can't even add them to ignore anymore. My ignore stash is FULL!
Either ban hammer them all or give me free ignore room so I can keep filling it up.

That's ridiculous. Why would there be a limit? Wild. Looks like it's even worse than I thought.

I don't even play anymore after the SSF merge. Ruined the whole community and game for me to have to share chat with tradescum.

Probably a sad result of a combination of game being way more populated than ever and Customer support being busy responding to email tickets. The sheer amount of people they need to cover all the chat channels and looking into whispers must be staggering at the moment.

Yeah, but it costs $30 per account. This implies that GGG is not banning them. Very few people actually use RMT, they'd lose all of their money if they had to buy more spammer account keys. Sick.

I would very much welcome it if GGG created transparency here. I have always appreciated the way Facepunch (Rust) acts. If you report a cheater or similar balast and this is confirmed after a check by Facepunch, you will receive a short confirmation that the person has been removed. I also get RMT spam every day and it's annoying.

^This. This used to be GGG not that long ago. Couple of years ago at most.
