Paquate's Mechanism Deleted Item

Just coming here to report a bug. I reached Paquate's Mechanism on cruel difficulty, was about to corrupt a crossbow i have. Instead of clicking on the triangle and bringing the dumb orb to the crossbow, i clicked the crossbow and brought it to the triangle. Once i did that, the item disappeared entirely. Wasn't on the ground, my inventory, anywhere. I was punching air and the item was gone.
Had to restart the game for it to come back, once i logged in, it was in my cursor, as if it just unregistered that it existed there before, and now it showed up.
Kinda cringe, probably should fix that.
Also the design of the altar's funcionality is really stupid. Make it more clear like in the salvage table.
