Experience Grinding vs Progressing(cruel)

Actually this is a serious problem in longer races, which end in cruel.

Grinding the same spot over and over again yields more experience than progressing.

Especially cruel compared with A3 normal or A2 cruel have a too field of different area levels.

Example 2 8h races(solo and party level 43 end of act 2 vs 8h Turbo grinding at fellshrine level 45)

So I would suggest either create a grind penalty or improve the experience progress in cruel.

At last for longer races.

I think it's sad racing always ends up in simple grind spots than pushing chars to their limit.

Why push them to their limit if

more exp per time spent grinding same map > Progression to do a quest?

Pretty sure hes saying thats the problem.

Im inclined to agree; spending half of every 3hour party race grinding docks is damn boring and after the initial 15 minutes or so, isnt risky or challenging at all. Currently some race formats have long grinds at the end and some dont, but if we switched to a progression-based placement system, most of the grind downtime would be eliminated and races would be much more competitive, more challenging and almost certainly more fun.

Anything that reduces grinding sounds good.
Docks is certainly a problem because it's level 32.

But especially on progression based races forwarding in cruel yields far less experience than doing docks.

We could have progressed in 8h Turbo but then everybody would be level 43 instead of 45.
Harsh exp penalties for each instance creation during races would force players to rethink their strategy.
