Let's be honest, if I was playing trade, I wouldn't be bothering with crafting in this game.

It's not about meta crafts either.
I'm talking about upgrading gear around mid tier maps.

3 exalts per gearpiece.
Then you brick your gear at the 3rd exalt after getting 2 nice mods to some bullshit Thorns, or 6% tier 1 Cold res.
You need 3 more exalts to brick the next gear.
I 3-to-1 bricks only to get Thorns again.
Can't Chaos Orb because no Omens.
And even if I had Omens, I would probably still roll some shit Thorns or Life regen.
Alva gives you Advanced gear even at lv 80+, so half of what you buy from her gets disenchanted / sold directly.

I've spent 20 levels and 1 mil+ Gold to get a chestpiece upgrade (ES, Spirit, res), and I'm right where I started, and I'm still using my chestpiece from act 6 at lv 80.

It's crazy.

Chaos omen will show you which stat it will replace, while active

Also, you can use craft of exile to simulate ur craft and look at possible outcomes with stat-weights. That how it works
