Suggestion - Map Overlay Mods Background

Personally i find the Map Overlay Mods really useful and have it open more then 90% of the time but i dislike the black background covering so much screen detail.
Would it be possible to add a slider in the settings menu below the enable/disable function to chance the transparency of it ?
I'd love it to be transparent and the rest of the text is already anyway and i can read it fine.

I really like this idea. A change like this would be greatly appreciated.
