I'm really enjoying the game, the idea of repeating the campaign every season bums me out

I'm new to POE, I've only really played POE2 at this point. I hear repeating the campaign every season is an intentional feature? TBH that's a huge bummer. The campaign is great but I'd be far more interested in jumping straight into the Atlas or at the very least having the choice after completing the campaign once.

So going to atlas from level 1, or having some sort of level skip to 65?
"Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."
i know this sounds crazy but after a while you might find you crave the feeling of progress you get in the leveling process.

I know I'm not crazy in this because many POE streamers will do "fresh starts" where they literally restart in a different mode, or merge their current SSF stash to trade and re-start in SSF with no items.

ARPG's are fundamentally about this progression feel, or power spikes and finding the cool stuff that gives you a spike. Those spikes you will find happen at all levels.

The journey is the fun part, not the destination.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.

They could definitely improve all the excessively large maps and backtracking.
ye, campaign isn't going away.
it would be terribly dull to just start mapping straight away.
the progression of power is a very important aspect / feeling, it is also important as a period to train yourself in understanding and utilizing the build.

the campaign isn't long tbh, sure the first time might took you 30-50 hours.
(yea that is how much it took me because I literally explore every inch and kill everything - which is COMPLETELY unnecessary, which I fully aware of. But because it's a "new" game, I need to take in "everything".)
Subsequent run will be heck lot more faster, I no doubt eventually people will be able to speed run POE2 campaign under 10h, or 5h even. Or maybe they already do, I didn't pay attention to that aspect yet.

POE1 while had 10 act, it only took 10-12h for a semi experienced player to finish it. If you push it a bit, it will be easily under 8h. For reference.

Atlas at level 1 was my thinking. I doubt that skipping to level 65 would be popular with players who are invested in league rankings. Hell they could even make the choice a league choice. Atlas league or what ever.

Really I just want the campaign to be a choice so I don't have to play it over and over with out option.

To be fair,

if the campaign was optional, it would actually give room for GGG to add more valuable drops and rewards from the campaign as an incentive to do it or at least parts of it before jumping into maps. Hell, they could even make the Campaign scale with your level up to lvl 75 and heavily tune it to the slow methodical gameplay experience they want. You could still overlevel the campaign and crush through it but the big payout rewards could only be gotten once per character.

What about having some kind of infinite Delve that can start in mid Act 1 as a parallel to maps. It starts early and you can use it as an alternative to campaign levelling. It can scale into the late game with it's own pinnacle bosses. Connect it to the abyss themed enemies and mechanics.

I think multiple parallel 'mapping' options will only benefit the game.

Hold on, here is an even crazier idea:

What if you can Delve starting in act 2, map starting in Act 3, the campaign scales with your level and to complete the campaign you have to defeat the tier 1 versions of the pinnacle boss of both the maps and the delve to unlock the beast fight?

Have all parallel modes connect as part of the storyline.

for me the best part of the game has been the campaign, so allowing people to skip that would be a bit disappointing. however if they were able to balance it where people were able to get through the campaign at the same pace as those who skipped it then i guess that would be ok, to each their own.

personally i would like more reasons to do the campaign, like specific drops you can get from bosses/certain areas or something, or being able to juice certain areas in the campaign, etc.
it's old formula that outdated but Veterans players are so get used to it that they not long see it downside.

The sense of progression is good and I do not care about repeating campaign with complete reset is demotivating to a group of players.

It's should be soft reset with some carry over progress, Eg each 10 level you before 90 you get some starting rewards for next reset and every 1 level post 90 you get some more meaningful reward. maybe just bonus level or Exp is enough nothing need to be huge. just something that don't make you feel that your last league is just a waste of time.

LOL.....did you know why GGG and Chris Wilson even made POE in the first place.
It was well documented back in the 2011s to 2013s that they really love playing D2 LOD.

Maybe you are not in a certain age group that experienced D2 LOD or maybe even D2R now.

Every single reset and ladder , we just go from Zero and climb all the way up to 99 if we can.

That is how things works.
