Black box flicker in game

I have an Intel Arc A770 and have been playing just fine until today.

What I assume changed since yesterday and today is

- Windows update
- Game patch

I am mapping and I get these black flickers that last 1 frame. It doesn't cover the entire screen, and it "jumps around" the screen, meaning it doesn't appear at the same location every time. I tried recording a video with steam but the export failed. It covers a pretty large area of the screen and it's really frustrating to play like this.

I updated drivers, rebooted, issue still persists.

Checked for some solutions on Intel for related issues but they don't seem to apply to me as I don't have access to Variable Refresh Rate for example.

I didn't notice these black boxes appear in town, only in the map I am playing.

The issue seems to be related to a specific Upscale Mode

If I use NIS (Default) I get no black flicker
If I use Intel XeSS, I get black flicker
