Magma barrier coating should last forever until you block

With the inconsistency of what you can block with active block, and that most enemies attacks are longer then the duration the magma block buff is active. The skill would feel worlds better if there was no duration on magma barrier.

Instead it could have a longer cd between the magma coatings.

I obviously thought of this before making this post. I have currently leveled from 10 to 24 using magma barrier, it's not fun to play. It's unrealistic to memorize and learn the attack pattern of hundreds of different enemies.

You need to memorize the attacks of all enemies as not only do some attacks have a longer windup when the duration of magma barrier coating. Some attacks are just not blockable with active block.

Often you successfully active block before getting hit, but the enemy might miss, either by evasion or by missing your hitbox, the hit might be unblockable, or the coating has run out as the attack was slower then the duration of the coating.

I have also made feedback about active block. It should be able to block most hits and not only what passive block already blocks. This could also solve the inconsistency of using magma barrier.

I have also come across multiple enemies that have no blockable attacks at all. But that is a separate issue with active block in general imo.

While i get your post, the fact it's skill based and your ability to block on time make is VERY VERY REWARDING.

moreover, the fact you can chain barriers if you get a proc, release button, press it again and block another, makes for a VERYYYYYY satisfying loop.


EDIT: Forgot to say i'm VERY AGAINST longer duration between procs. This is DPS loss. Just improve your timing buddy.

I think it's skill based enough to memorize which attacks you can block or not. I don't think there should be multiple inconsistent layers to using a skill that is mechanically very weak compared to other skills. There is really no upside of using magma barrier other then the promise of it dealing a lot of damage if you get enough levels on it.
