shockwave totem stealth nerf .1.1

I made a shock totem build, loved it but now its dead T_T. after today patch my totems no longer go off consistently.

before the patch today, shock totems would go off when summoned, if your using them with aoe this could provide a extra layer of defense if you had a lot of aoe you could prevent eneimes from getting close to you with knock back or just death before getting close because things that enter that aoe would start being attacked right away. I understand this was a visual mess however its what i liked about my build.

after the patch totems still have the aoe, however they dont go off automatically now....... they go off automaticly but only when an mob is in range. however that range is the problem. i have spect into aoe and the edge of the totem aoe should be that totems range, however now the totem wont go off unless the totem is being touched by an enemy or right next to it, defeating the purpose of having aoe. some times if i spawn the totem next to an enemy it wont even go off till the mob hits it. in the mean time i fighting to stay alive because my totem wont attack.

its not in the patch notes but this pretty much kills my shock totem build

Yeah, I'll second this one. I logged in my shockwave totem gemling today and nothing was dying before the totems vanished. Thought it was lag initially, but I think the OP is right, they definitely aren't going off like they used to. Guess I need to look at respecing this build, no way totems are viable with this new limitation.

I'll go as far to say that I don't even think it's a range. I've literally had mobs weave in and out of my totems and watch them just sit there and do nothing. I've defaulted to ancestral totems, they seem to be working the same, but damage/aoe is no where near as good.

yeah i died a little in side, i build it to avoid the nerf monk that has to happen but than instead of my monk getting nerfed, my totem build was destoried

i have had this happend, i sumon 4 totem that just stand there as enemies run by and attakc me while none of them go off
Guess that was one of those optimizations
it on the known issues list so hotfix incoming...

its worse, crabs with poison shoot at the max range of the map soon as you put a totem down to make them move, they don't, and the range is the full length of map.

Totem nerf is a JOKE and the mobs and all other classes have the advantage. Their casts still go off the map.

POe2 staff get your act together on this stealth nerf.
