poe 2 mapping is terrible

I've been playing PoE for almost a week now, and my character 93 is moving very slowly, because with a t15 waystone with terrain level +1-2, I get no more than 2-3 percent experience and nothing valuable. I run 20-30 waystones, spend two hours on it, and get absolutely nothing of value for it. I die from incomprehensible bombs or vanshots twice and don't advance at all. The state of the economy is terrible, the character progression is terrible.

GGG has no idea what type of game they want to make. Do they want it slow, methodical, or a high speed blaster?

Because right now, we have both and it's not working out well.
i hoped for the slowdown in PoE2, which was advertised in the camapign. But entering the maps, it just feels like PoE1 again... waht is the point of PoE2 besides the new looks and WASD support?

Well it depends, what are you asking? What GGG CLAIMED, but has never delivered?

Or what is actually the truth?
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I'm in an awkward spot where loot weights need to be adjusted, but I seem to have two options at the moment:

1. Farm tier 10-14 maps for currency
2. Grind tier 15-16 for exp

I cannot seem to do both. For the tier 15/16's, I juice them up with exalteds/chaos then Vaal, avoiding increased gold mod, burning ground or life regen. I find a spot on the atlas with boss nodes and/or corruption, and boost them with multiple towers. I do any breaches. But I get nothing. Often not a single exalted or chaos. The only divines I've had have been from maps lower than tier 15 - usually unjuiced blue or freshly regal'd rare.

Is there this window of worse loot? Does it get better if I juice harder? How do I do that? I'm running maps with half a screen's worth of mods, 4-500% waystone, rarity, quantity, extra rares, rares have extra mods, all basic atlas points.

iirc they boosted exalt drops for lower levels a while back, didn't they? Rares in lower tier maps have a very high drop weight on exalts but rares in t 15+ don't. It makes little sense to me that doing lower, easier maps is more profitable.

I do anywhere from Tier 13 to Tier 15. Use anything with +quantity and +rare monsters and use the node which doubles waystone and precursor effects. Also use the atlas passive which makes rare monsters harder. on T13-T15 I atleast get 3 exalts and usually some vaal/alchemy and maybe chaos orb per map. With maxed out breach + delirium a lot more because of the splinters.

a 50% quantity map with 5 breaches will give insane loot, probably a breach stone and 10-20 exalts + dozens of rares and uniques per map. Using quantity and upgrading breach/using delirium made drop LOTS more currency.
