POE 2 Loot Pet is a must!

Hi, it’s 2025 in Path of Exile Two and loot pets aren’t a thing yet?

It is to my understanding that the Chinese realm of Poe 1 already had loot pets?

Why are loot pets not a thing, specifically for currency..? That would be a major QoL addition.

This idea crops up from time to time, and it sounds like a nice QOL addition... if you've never played a game which has auto-pickup of loot. But I have played Undecember, and I'm here to tell you that auto-pickup of loot really sucks. It instantly transforms loot from something that might be interesting and engaging into something you don't care about at all, and fills your inventory full of worthless junk you'd never have picked up otherwise.

I'd rather have a loot system that drops interesting loot, which is to say items that are interesting as items, than systems which are built to manage mediocre or uninteresting loot. A loot filter is about all the loot management that I want, because even that much management gives me the opportunity to make decisions about the loot that I want to interact with, while still preserving the interaction.

As to why PoE1 in China has loot pets... it's because PoE in China is managed by Tencent, rather than being managed by GGG, so they have a lot of egregious pay-to-win nonsense in their shop that PoE doesn't have anywhere else. GGG have been pretty firm about not wanting to add this sort of BS to the game that they directly control, so I wouldn't expect it to happen anywhere else.

If they offered it up? I'd take one and risk ruining my experience, I liked it in Warframe as an equipable mod, but I'll also happily volunteer to eat one of my socks when it actually happens.

What do you mean it was a slippery slope? You have millions of gold by end game. If it wasn't auto-pickup it would need to have completely different values. Even if they implemented auto pickup currency and rares, which they won't the currency that is worth anything rarely drops and rares would just clog up ypur inventory in about 5 secs anyway. If everything else remained static auto-pickup would be a huge pain in the ass.
I think auto pick up gold is a nice addition. While it's a QoL change, it doesn't really provide any major advantage that could be considered pay-to-win. I understand that having auto pick up loot is not desirable, but I don't see a problem with only gold. Sometimes I see in map a small amount of gold that is too far and I wish pet could get it.
china have pets for subscription as well as P2W leagues, sub auction house, they can respec tree and atlas for $ and a lot of more. It will end like this.
