[Feature Request] Automatical Shop

Hello GGG team,

I think you read a lot of people experience bad side of buying or selling. I was deeply thinking about also bots problems too. So I give you an idea to make best possible player experience. That is not flawless, but it will be better than situation now. Here is idea how to make POE2 trade great.

AUTOSHOP (Selling from tabs)

Now we have currently manual selling with automatically listing selling items on POE trade site. Problem not all players respond to whispers if you want to buy. Other problem is selling stuff, if you selling stuff and priced lower than market average price, get whispers bombardment. That usually is a trade bot.

Solution is simple give function to tabs become deliver tab there you store all purchase until you free it to other tabs. All purchases takes from currency tab to pay for item automatically.
But you need to link purchasing action by BUY button on website and synchronized check if item still has same price. Once player pick item and press BUY automatically deducts currency and transfer to seller currency tab. That action has second action also that takes item and transfer it to delivery tab. Seller will get a trade log for the transaction. Yes also trade logs should be implemented in a game or website.
Seller that have tab all items for a singular price or tab with individual priced items, those player needs to be charged with gold currency fee. Gold price would to place item for listing will be determined with price and currency used. For example like that : 1 exalt equal to 200 gold. 1 Divine equal to 8000 gold. Orb of transmutation equal to 10 gold, then Orb of augmentation like 30 gold and so on. This prevent problem of overpricing plus bots problem solved.

The overall idea that even people offline sales happen and no need to whisper and initiate a trade action. That sometimes leads to a scam trade. If you guys implement this to the game. A lot of players will be free from bots abusing them and most important scam. Limits overpricing possibilities.

Thank you for your time reading this feature suggestion

This seems the same as having an in game auction house, but with the extra added steps of leaving game to visit a website, and another tab to buy and manage.

It's 2025 why can't we trade in game I mean I'd take Diablo 2 style trading at this point.
{AtmaMonkey#9518} Yes it sounds like auction house, but visiting site protect you from being scammed. Auction house with POE or POE2, I think is not good. Problems arise then players try to price fix. Trade helps identify price fixers players, comparing to auction house there is no clue about seller. So going to trade site is beneficial. Second thing is easier to implement and faster.

This doesn't make any sense what problems arise? How does leaving the game to visit a website ensure no price fixing? Why would the AH have no clue about the seller it's their game their AH they would know exactly what's happening same as website?
I wouldn't mind a quest to unlock a "merchant" to sell my goods for me.

Why this vs. an AH though?? My P.o.V. is that GGG hasn't implemented an AH already as this strays too far from their vision.

If, on the other hand, we add just a little automation with the goal of [greatly] increasing player satisfaction with trade while trying to keep as much of GGG's vision as we can then ... maybe just maybe GGG will give it a shot.

GGG knows either way, but buying players don't on auction house. Auction will need extra npc and graphic interface also lots of internal algorithms to implement.
Website and game synchronized trade solution I suggested. It's much easier and simpler to implement. Second thing player like visiting trade site because has filtering good system to search for item.
I love people posting 'simple solutions' not realizing this would be an insane amount of coding and a lot of potential security risks.

No they don't. Nobody has ever said " wow I enjoy leaving the game to trade so much" ...

Compared to a lot of the complex tasks that GGG has to deal with, trade is at least somewhat "simple" in theory.

Some of the more straightforward implementations would just leverage what is already being done -- I.E. some people already have their own bots to trade goods for them. I'd propose a system similar to that but the BOT is part of the game. This could be used to leverage the majority of the already existing infrastructure.

Sure, esp. given recent issues, security WILL BE a huge issue moving forward but I look at that as a cost-of-doing-business.
