Bugged interaction between two unique items

There are two unique items, which can interact with strength scaling. One is irongrasp body armour with iron will/grip, which allows you to increase your damage of spells or projectiles by strength stacking, but it removes inherent bonus of strength that gives you life. Note here, unique item doesn't tell you, that it gives inherent damage bonus to spells or projectiles, so it should not conflict with second unique item, and it should not double with gemling legionnaire ascendancy.
second one is Heroic tragedy unique timeless jewel with Vorana keystone named Circular teaching. Same as before, it removes your ability to get life from strength, but instead gives energy shield. This item tells you, that this bonus is inherent, so it should be doubled by gemling legionnaire ascendancy.
Weird thing is, wording on both items don't conflict with each other, both of them removes inherent life bonus from strength and gives you something instead. So it should work, theoretically. But instead, when you allocate keystone from timeless jewel, you lose all damage increases from your body armour. Please take a look on interaction between this items, thank you.
