Logbook/Expedition Bugged?

Logbook dropped. I went to Dannig to figure out what it is and see two available expeditions. "Oh, ok can I enchant this logbook to make it any better?" I close the vendor screen and no logbook in my inventory. Open expedition screen via Dannig and no logbook in the window there either. Without a logbook, it doesn't open the expedition screen, so I'm not able to see if the expeditions are still available.


So, it sounded like a cool new thing but I have no idea since I never got to see it. Is this expected behavior, that the logbook is eaten even if you don't enter an expedition?
