Chronomancer overhaul
|
Chronomancer is my second favorite archetype. In this implementation, it has a lot of cool abilities, but the whole thing falls flat as an ascendancy. What I don't like about the chronomancer: 1. quicksand hourglass (more than half the time it's doing nothing) 2. recoup being in here 3. to get time freeze I have to get temporal rift ------------------------------------------------------------------ What I like about the chronomancer: 1. all the cooldown stuff 2. having active abilities 3. apex of the moment 4. time freeze 5. Art and the shape of the ascendancy itself 6. even though I don't like quicksand hourglass the fact that I can combo it with time freeze is fun. ------------------------------------------------------- What I suggest: 1. in the ascendancy tree give us 4 paths each with 2 choices and they end in an active ability (this way I don't have to pick an active ability to get to the active ability I want to use) 2. quicksand hourglass 100% more cast speed for 4 seconds and 100% less cast speed for 2 seconds (if the other half of the pendulum is negative it will feel like something I have to overcome rather than a random occurring buff) 3. remove recoup and put it on the passive skill tree 4. temporal rift is always 4 seconds ago and 4 seconds ago is a vague concept instead of 4 seconds ago make temporal rift a press twice skill. The First press takes a snapshot of the character's state in that time and the second one reverts the character to that state. (this snapshotting can give us 4 seconds of quicksand hourglass for example) 5. Instead of recoup what if we have temporal charges, each charge will give us increased CDR, and while at maximum we have +1 usage of cooldown skills. We gain one if we use a cooldown skill. These could be two new ascendancy points and pair well with the already existing cooldown stuff we have 6.put apex of moment before time freeze and quick sand hourglass before temporal rift. What do you guys think? Would you prefer this over the current chronomancer? Please comment with your suggestions! Last bumped on Jan 12, 2025, 3:57:37 PM
